"As far as parodies go, does the movies justice."
There's something to be said for misogynistic and scatological humour, just as long as it's done properly, and it is for that reason that I'm still a fan of this long-running series. You've done it again, Dave. Personally, being a bit of a cinephile, I've always had a special spot in my heart for lampoons of famous and well-known films but I've been getting a little sick of all the actual spoof movies out there. "Scary Movie" or even "Spaceballs" doesn't do it for me anymore. But then something like this comes along -- blissfully irreverent and decidedly unsophisticated -- and I just can't help but laugh. We all secretly find a cappella renditions of the "Star Wars" theme funny because we've all probably attempted it at one point or another in the shower or at our last alcohol-fueled camping trip, but few have the guts to actually use it somewhere for fear of their audience considering themselves above that kind of humour. Which, I suppose, brings me back to my main point. You, Dave, have your own unique vision on what is funny and what is not, and you're not willing to let it waver. You don't feel as though you need to pander to your audience and your fan base recognizes this. And that, I feel, combined with your originality, is exactly the reason why that fan base is so large. Thanks for the laughs, Dave.

To all the people reading this who have no idea who Dali is, shame on you all. Go find out who he is; then come back. But if you DO know who he is, there is no doubt in my mind that this submission right here is the BEST Daliesque submission on all of Newgrounds. With the exception of that robotic fellow right before the protagonist gets dropped into the water, every character in this seemed to have either come straight out of a painting or some sort of gothic novel. Very artful. Hence the 10 in Graphics. The music was great too. "The Beatles" are welcome anytime and "The Dandy Warhols" was a nice touch as well. Excellent choices to emphasize the almost-somnambulant theme of this piece. Thus, a 10 in Sound. The flawless coadunation of both Sound and Graphics led me to give you a 10 in Style as well and as a result, an Overall score of 10 was awarded to you. Just bravura work. I just bumped you up to my Favorite Flash Artist too, by the way. Not only that, but this submission is also my favourite. I'm lovin' this, Xavier. Keep up the magnificent work.

Whether it was intentional or not, I really love how deeply symbolic this piece was. The situation presented to the protagonist in this Flash can mean a variety of things. His being forced to smile could represent anything from fascist governments to our tendency to subconsciously absorb the beliefs of the people we know. And that's just what makes this Flash brilliant. I mean, the author could have easily thrown a specific message in here and made us all listen to what he had to say, but instead, he chose to create something that has relevance in just about everything we do and everyone we meet. There is not a single place we go to where someone does not make us "smile" in some way. Everyone is always trying to make us believe things one way or another. However, I see the story of this Flash to be one of individuality and persecution. People in our society have been persecuted for their beliefs much too often and I believe this to be the prevalent theme of this animation. Either way, I love the statement that this is trying to make, I love the style with which the author pulled it off and I love how well the animation just flowed. This Flash has EARNED its 5 from me. You hear that, Aleksander? Awesome work.

"One of the most artistic Flash submissions on NG!"
I'm not even joking when I say that it's submissions like these that elevate Newgrounds from being nothing more than an amusing little site full of stick figure animations and celebrity shooting games to something much more artistic. This piece of work reminds people just what kind of art they can create if they put enough work into it. I pretty much gave you 10's right across the board just because the message that you've created with this Flash is so powerful and unique. Instead of the mundane mindlessness that I have come to recognize from even the "best" artists who submit to Newgrounds on a regular basis, this is something different, something serious. Hence, the 10 I gave you in Style. The Russian narration was a nice touch too. As for Graphics and Sound, I think anyone who's ever taken the time to watch this Flash can understand the perfect scores I gave those categories. Needless to say, you're getting a vote of 5 from me. Just amazing work here. Oh, and I'm still completely in awe of how you animated that one scene with that hit of ecstasy. At least, I THINK it was ecstasy. Either way, it's irrelevant. Great job.

"One of the best episodes since the original!"
You know, for the longest time, I wasn't sure if this series was dying out or not, but it's good to know that the Humor that made this series such a hit in the first place hasn't left it. This has got to be one of my favourite "Bonus Stage" cartoons of all time. I mean, the other cartoons were great too, but you have to admit, not every "Bonus Stage" cartoon has the best dialogue, you know what I mean? But still, when one comes along that DOES have great dialogue, it's a beautiful thing. Better dialogue than most of the crap you see on TV anyways. But yeah, the combination of the great Humor, the simple yet professional-looking Graphics and the hilarious Style earned this submission an Overall score of 10, a vote of 5 and what will most likely be a permanent place in my Favorite Animations list. Oh, and just for the record, this cartoon right here is only my second favourite "Bonus Stage" cartoon. I'm still voting 5's every day on "Bonus Stage #1: Car". I am and always will be a fan, dude. Keep up the awesome work.

"No wonder you're on my Favorite Artists list!"
Yeah, you've been on there since I checked out Xombified.com and watched "Xombie: Chapter 1" after watching the second one first right here on Newgrounds. You really have great talent when it comes to this kind of stuff. And ever since I started taking that Computer Graphics and Animation course at my high school, I've developed a whole new appreciation for artists of your caliber. I mean, I'm still doing all the basics, but YOU are someone who has achieved complete mastery in your craft. You know what though? I actually had to load this Flash three times in order to get it to work properly (I have a computer that's closing in on its fifth birthday), but even after all the failed attempts, I have to say, this was definitely worth all the time it took me to load and watch it. This is really some BEAUTIFUL animation. Love Dirge, love Zoe and love Cerebus. And you know what else? I can't believe you're not making your own freakin' MOVIE yet. Hell, I'D pay to see it. Make yourself some cash on this already! Best of luck, dude. Keep up the absolutely PHENOMENAL work! Perfect votes of 5 all around!

You probably don't even remember the review I left on the first part of this two-part submission, but this just keeps getting better and better. I mean, this one had some of the best lines in ANY of _THE_KNOX_'s submissions. Classic stuff like, "He's like a magic fairy, with his wand..." and "You're right, this IS a cool screensaver!" kept me cracking up throughout the ENTIRE Flash. It doesn't even matter that the Graphics are bad, the Sound is what gets people going. It IS just a dubbed-over scene from a movie, after all. But yeah, the Style and more importantly, the Humor, is what eventually led me to give this an Overall score of 9. Had the picture not been so pixelated, a perfect Overall score of 10 would have been given. I don't even CARE that you didn't do the animation for this. This is genius either way. So yeah, Overall score of 9 and just because I laughed so hard at this, votes of 5 all around. Whenever I get the chance. Absolutely hilarious work. Don't ever stop pumping these things out. You know, at first, I didn't even like your work all that much, but hey, as the Oracle said, "You've made a believer out of me". Thumbs up, dude.

"Damn, can't wait for the real thing!"
You know, the game ran a little slow but this is still one of the best platform games I've ever seen on Newgrounds. Totally loving the look of the beta version though. I mean, if this is only the beta version, the REAL version should be getting heaps of awards. But yeah, add more enemies, throw in a machine gun of some sort, find some catchy music to go along with the action, and make a few cool backgrounds for the levels. Just do all that and you're well on your way to having a near-permanent place on the Top 50 Of All Time. There's only one thing that kind of bugs me though. See, when the enemies die while jumping in the air, they suddenly end up on the ground and die there, instead of dying in the air like they should. Maybe you guys could do something about that. Not like it REALLY matters though. Just one guy's opinion down here. But yeah, can't wait for the real thing to come out. I mean, I just voted a 4 on this and this is only the beta. It doesn't take a genius to figure out what I'd vote if you actually finished the game. Awesome job though, TrashLock. And only 89Kb too. Impressive.

"One of the most entertaining shooters on NG!"
Yeah well, I never thought I'd ever have this much fun shooting cats. This game totally has replay value too. I mean, throwing in those bonus green cats really keeps you searching for them, huh? But yeah, this game is totally phenomenal. Graphics were amazing, the music was great and the Humor was awesome. There's nothing quite like shooting at a bunch of cats floating around in outer space. I especially love how there's more than one kind of kill too. The ability to shoot appendages off and make head shots is definitely going to keep me coming back to play this on those long rainy days. The damage counter is a nice touch too. There's only one thing that kind of irks me though. See, I still can't figure out just what the hell that little claw thing is. You know, the one that you use to eviscerate the little furballs on that Moon level? Yeah, that's kind of bugging me. Aside from that, this is an awesome game. Perfect scores all around. Overall score of 10 in this review and a vote of 5 from me. You've earned it, dude. Great job.

You know, I was pretty pissed off when I heard that "Retarded Animal Babies 7" was going to be the last one, even though I always thought that the first was the best. But now, to see the series come back with the FUNNIEST episode, I suddenly remember why I loved the series so much to begin with! First of all, the whole "Night At The Roxbury" thing was hilarious. It's been a while since I've seen that pulled off without it being totally old. Second, the Sean Connery 'cameo' was great. You never fail at bringing in weird cameos from all corners of pop culture. Just like "The Simpsons". Guess that's kind of what makes this series such a classic, despite the fact that it's obviously not the real people doing the voices. Third, Bruce Willis, donkey punches and horrible pick-up lines. How could anyone NOT like this? But yeah, perfect Overall score of 10 and a perfect vote of 5 from me. Excellent work, dude. Just don't stop pumping these out, whatever you do. Oh, and just for the record, this is going into my Favorite Animations list. Just lovin' it.
