Well, for the first half, anyways. The little beat you had going there was just perfect for setting the tone of the entire series. In any case, while this isn't the best animated of Flash animations, I could still see the effort you put into it. The story so far, however, seems a little too convenient, don't you think? Some robot just comes up to the guy and hands him his gun and the keys (or whatever the hell that thing is) to his ship? Oh, please. While amnesia is a pretty cool motif, you want to make sure you're not making it too cheesy, you know what I mean? Either way, it looks like you have a pretty cool idea here. People really seem to like it too. I mean, right now, you're sitting at a score of 3.16. However, in my humble opinion, I don't think this really deserves anything more than a 3. So, that's what my vote will be. Still, the music is everything in this Flash. It's the only reason I gave you a 7 in Sound and a 6 in Style. Nevertheless, allow me to commend you on your great choice of music. Keep up the good work there, XwaynecoltX. Oh, and good luck with all that reviewing you're doing. All the best.

"One of your better pieces of work!"
I know you never really read these things anyways, but I just wanted to take this opportunity to commend you on actually creating a funny Neurotically Yours cartoon for once. See, with my situation, it's a little complicated. I used to really love Foamy, I really did. But then, you started submitting cartoons like "Elf Dreams" and "Gas-E-Pop", which, in my opinion, were some of the worst cartoons you've ever put out. Needless to say, I kind of went on over to the dark side for a bit, not quite hating Foamy, but not quite liking him either. However, I also kind of think that you've redeemed yourself here. Of course, my opinion might be biased just because I can relate to that whole coffee thing, but all in all, I actually found myself LAUGHING at this one. Which, by itself, is good enough to earn you a vote of 3. My advice to you, as a Flash animator, would just be to put a little more thought into your cartoons instead of pumping one out every week or so just so you can make your quota. When you have a really great idea, the Humor will shine through, you know what I mean? Either way, I'm kind of happy that Neurotically Yours hasn't entirely gone down the crapper, so instead of giving you that 3, I think I'm going to be nice and tag you with a 4. Besides, I think an Overall score of 9 in this review fits this submission just right. Keep up the good work, all right? And whatever you do, don't keep making stuff when you have no ideas. If you do that, your Flash work will end up looking half-assed and then even MORE people will hate you. I swear, you're the most loved and hated Flash artist on Newgrounds...

Man, that was a great concept you had there. The dialogue going on between the characters was absolutely priceless. I found myself laughing my ass off on more than one occasion while watching this. Hence, the 7 in Humor. However, I still think that this would have been infinitely more entertaining if there was some voice acting going on. Hell, even if you were to place the text in speech bubbles as opposed to just having the text float around at the top of the screen, you'd be getting higher scores. You'd definitely be getting more points in Style, that's for sure. In any case, I really enjoyed watching this Flash. The ability to pick the winners of the fights was a nice touch too, and anything that adds some Interactivity in order to get the viewer really involved is great. You know what the interesting thing is though? See, normally, I hate sprite animations. I really do. Yet, you still managed to score a 6 from me in Graphics. Maybe I'm just in too good a mood after watching this Flash to really give it anything bad. I mean, I have a few suggestions, but I don't really have anything BAD to say about this. In short, good job, GWCommander. I look forward to seeing more of your work in the future. Oh, and you're getting a 3 from me when I vote. Well, maybe 4. I'm feeling kind of generous at the moment.

"I never really saw the point in trailers..."
But in comparison to some of the other trailers I've seen, this isn't bad at all. Which leads me to give you a fairly good Overall score of 6 in this review. See, the first thing that I noticed about this Flash was the stylish preloader. Considering the fact that you mentioned that this was your very first Flash in your Author's Comments, having a unique preloader is quite rare for you first-time submitters. The second thing I noticed was the fact that you could actually draw. I mean, we didn't see much of the main character, but the parts we DID see were fantastic. The eye, the gun, the teeth; all quite well drawn. The third thing I noticed, was that the music and the sound effects were dead on. Also rare for a first-time submitter. Which, all in all, leads me to believe that you have a little something that we like to call TALENT. In short, I just want to congratulate you on making a first Flash that actually looked half decent. You're getting a 3 from me for this, vote-wise. Either way, I'm actually kind of looking forward to see more of your work. Keep it up. Whatever it is you're doing here, I like it.

"There's only ONE reason this Flash passed..."
And if you think it's because of the graphics, you're sadly mistaken. Now, as you may have noticed, every review posted on this Flash thus far was posted by a "Doom" fan. Needless to say, since this Flash pertains to that topic, it's certainly no surprise that you have their support. However, disregarding the fact that this actually has more parts to it, as a standalone piece of Flash work, this really deserves nothing more than a 2, and even THAT might be a little generous. The music was the only thing that saved you from dropping down to a 1, hence the 5 out of 10 I gave you in the Sound category. The graphics were mostly text and the parts that weren't were just taken from the game. How creative. Thus, the 3 out of 10 in that department. However, like I said before, the music suited the piece, allowing me to give you a 4 for Style and an Overall rating of 4 as well. Just keep in mind, trailers aren't usually a type of Flash that does well on NG. In fact, how you got the score of 2.40 that you're sitting at right now is beyond me. In any case, all you're getting from me is a 2. Oh, and check your spelling of 'forgotten' on the title screen of your Flash. Just thought I'd mention it.

You know, this Flash is like the "Army Of Darkness" of Flash. It's so damn bad, it's good. I still have yet to figure out if that's a good thing or not, but either way, this got a few chuckles out of me, so it's a pass. I like how you did your own sound effects though. Seems to contribute to the whole 'I don't really know what I'm doing here but I don't really give a rat's ass' kind of feel. Besides, when you think about it, if you don't take your Flash seriously, your viewers will KNOW not to take it seriously, so they laugh along with it, instead of laughing AT it. In any case, I'm sure that that effect was more or less what you were trying to achieve here. And achieve it you did. Just for making a Flash that I laughed at (whether or not you really intended to), you're scoring a 3 from me. Even though that MIGHT just be a little generous.

Yeah, I always do that. Most stuff isn't all that funny to me, so they always score 2's, but this really cracked me up in a very "Looney Tunes" kind of way. Especially that whole 'Hand Grenade' scene. Like, that whole pipe thing was totally predictable, but it was hilarious anyways. As for the 'Axe' scene, this may just be me, but I didn't find the shotgun bit all that amusing. But like I said, that's just me. In any case, I think some voice acting and some cheesy music in the background would make this a lot funnier. I mean, in most cases, when a character says "What the..." or "Oh sh*t!", a certain tone is implied, so the reader can imagine the audio better. But if you were to actually make it so you could HEAR a gurgle sound instead of just showing us the word in the 'Bow and Arrow' scene (another one of my favorites), it would be that much funnier. Either way, like I said, the Flash made me laugh, so you're getting an automatic 3. Still, I'm feeling nice right now, so you just scored a 4 from me. Hilarious work, man. Keep it up.

Thanks for the 4!

Man, I still remember when I was a stupid little kid. I couldn't wait to get to bed every night because as soon as the lights went out, my imagination kicked in. My bed suddenly became whatever I wanted it to be. A boat in the Amazon, a spaceship on Mars, and well, a plane flying across the sky. As a result, this Flash really brought some great memories back to me.
The style of this thing is awesome though. It kind of reminds me of Dan Malo's "Ready's Voyage", you know what I mean? Must have something to do with the whole imagination theme. Still, loved the attention to detail, loved the music and loved the look of the entire Flash in general. That's some awesome work you have there, Mopsicle. You're getting an Overall score of 10 in this review and as if it wasn't already obvious enough, you're getting a perfect 5 from me, vote-wise. Hell, I'll just give you 5's every chance I get. Loved this thing though, dude. You're now one of my Favorite Artists. Keep up the beautiful work!

"Just when I thought I had seen it all..."
I'm not even 100% sure what drew me to this Flash in the first place. I think it was the word "penguin" or something. Maybe I just have an affinity towards those stout little flightless marine birds. Either way, I loved this Flash. For a first entry, it wasn't at all bad. You had the synch down and everything. In most first submissions, either the synch is terribly off with what's going on or there's no sound at all. For that reason alone, you're already getting a 2 from me. However, I also noticed how smooth the animation was. Not to mention how amusing watching heavy-metal playing penguins is. And for THAT, I really believe that you deserve a much higher score than the lousy 1.98 that you're getting right now. With the 3 I'm giving you, I hope to at least bring you up to a solid score of 2.00. Keep up the good work, dude. Lovin' the penguins, by the way.
Author's Response:
Thanks, I appreciate your comments and you did bring me up to a solid 2 I am currently at 2.07. It took me two days to get this as perfect as I could possibly manage and I thank you for noticing the effort that went into the making of my first animation.

You know, I'm really starting to develop an appreciation for this character. Even though the bunny character's attitude isn't quite so prevalent in this one, it's clearly evident that you have great plans for this character. By the way, I read your response for the review I gave "Bunny Style 1" and I apologize for any conclusions I may have jumped to at that time. While the second dress-up game in this Flash submission DID in fact, feature Drew Barrymore again, the focus was clearly on this Powerout Bunny character and not just on 'actresses that you think are hot'. I still stand by what I said in my first review though. Making a Flash with this character that includes a little bit of voice acting and more of that rabbit's hilarious attitude would go great on Newgrounds. While this isn't a bad submission, I think we all already know that it's just going to sink into the background just like everything else. Good job on the Powerout Bunny dress-up though. However, the Barrymore thing was a little crude. That's just my personal opinion. I'm sure there are tons of NG users out there who like that kind of thing. And just for the record, I probably SHOULD give you another 2, but I'm feeling nice. 3 out of 5 from me.
Author's Response:
Well, Bunny Style 4 (which may be called Bunny Style Ultra Delux) is already half done... it will include the following all in one file... BS Dressup BS Dating Sim BS Episode (with voice acting =P) and finally BS "Making the Character" Stay tuned!
